So the summer was really slow for me as far as catering and baking is concerned. I was actually kind of happy the request for cakes was low because truthfully turning on the stove in 90 plus weather is something I was dreading. September is here and everything has started up again slowly but surely. I already have orders for two cakes AND I’m donating two cakes to my church’s bake sale. So this weekend I’ll be getting busy! On another note I’m on a diet and baking makes it sooooo hard to stay on track (blahhhh) but I HAVE to stay focused, also because I take my craft so seriously I have to always remain sanitary and with that I had to give up tips (waaaahhhh) I used to have such a dope nail swag, now I have to settle for a plain ass manicure and my nails are so brittle & damaged that I hate them most of the time but business is business. You have to make sacrifices for your career, but trust me everything else is on point as usual ;-)
….anyway Top Chef Desserts premieres next week (I think) and I CAN’T wait, that’s a real fat girl statement but that’s right up my alley, I’m sure it will be one of my FAV and few television addictions. Well that’s it for me today have a FABULOUS weekend tasters.
